About us
Fandango is a coffee roastery born in Stockholm in 2026. After nearly ten years of working in the coffee industry across different countries, we decided to settle in Sweden to develop what would become the foundation of Fandango.
We set out to combine our passion for coffee and art in a way that feels fresh and welcoming. Fandango was created from the desire to merge a more medieval, baroque, or antique aesthetic with respect for the standards of today’s coffee industry.
From the very beginning, our idea has been to offer high-quality coffees in the most harmonious way possible: by respecting the people who work throughout the industry and minimizing our impact on nature.
We entered this journey full of enthusiasm and ideas, striving to do our part in this beautiful and young industry.
our philosophy
In general, there is little correlation between quality and equity. Most of the time, one is sacrificed for the other, and yet they somehow continue to coexist. Coffee, however, was largely unfamiliar with either until just a few decades ago.
This change would not have been possible without the persistence and effort of countless people across the globe. above all, it is the farmers that stand at the most demanding end of this struggle
At Fandango, we pay tribute to those who work the hardest. For this reason, we make sure they are paid fairly by working in close collaboration with the importers we partner with.
We like to describe ourselves as a roastery focused on the producer and the plant. This is what In plantis confidimus — “In plants we trust” — stands for. It is a return to our roots: to the soil, to the farmer. A journey into the past, while looking towards the future.
collaboration
The world is wide and plural, and it carries many voices of different strengths. Unfortunately, some voices are often drowned out by those that make the most noise and attract the most attention.
We believe it is important to listen to as many farmers as possible, to taste as much coffee as we can, and not to fall into the industry trend of working only with progressive and established producers. While we firmly believe that their work is valuable to the industry—and they will always have a place in our lineup—we choose to focus primarily on building long-term relationships with smallholders, regardless of their current status or name within the industry.
Vision
We seek expressive and delicious coffees from producing countries around the world, always striving for clarity and uniformity of flavour.
We profile our coffees in a way that respects the natural attributes of the beans and the effort behind every step of the process.
Every coffee has its own character, and for us it is of paramount importance to study each one carefully in order to bring out its full potential across different brewing methods.
Long-standing relationships with all our partners are deeply important to us, as they help ensure sustainable businesses and consistency in quality.
retribution
Within the food chain, it is often difficult to grasp what it truly takes to create a final product. For consumers, finding this information can feel nearly impossible.
For this reason, we have committed to transparency by opening up our operational costs to our customers and to anyone interested in understanding what the farm-to-bag journey entails.
We believe this openness not only offers a clearer view of the process, but also helps illuminate what farmers receive for their work. In doing so, it equips consumers with the knowledge needed to make more conscious choices in the future.
